The Aadhaar number and PAN card are both unique identification numbers used in India. To link your Aadhaar number with your PAN card online, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the Income Tax e-filing website: Click
- Put your cursor on the home menu.
- Click the “Link Aadhar” button, details will show on your screen.
- Then Enter your PAN and Aadhar Number.
- Click at the “Continue to pay Through e-pay Tax” button .
- Then screen will give your PAN, Confirm PAN and any mobile number for receive Confirmation OTP Number.
- Put your OTP Number, you will redirected the E-Pay Tax Page.
- Three Option will show on your screen:-
- Incom Tax 2.Equalisation Levy/STT/CTT 3.Fee/Other Payments
- Click the proceed button on Incom Tax.
- Select AY(2024-25) and select other receipts (500) for second column.
- Applicable amount automatically pre-filled against others then click continue.
- Your Submission completed and receipt will show on your screen.
It is important to note that the name, date of birth, and gender mentioned on your Aadhaar card should match with the details mentioned on your PAN card. In case of any discrepancies, you will have to update the details on either of the documents before linking them.
Note that your name, date of birth, and gender as per your PAN card must match with your Aadhaar card details for successful linking. Also, you can only link one PAN card with one Aadhaar card.
By following these simple steps, you can easily link your Aadhaar number with your PAN card online, which is mandatory as per the recent government directives.
